Stella Maris Trio is an ensemble formed by three professional musicians living in Devon, Somerset and Lancashire. The trio members are graduates of the best European music institutions such as the Academy of Music in Milan and Oxford University; the youngest member Victoria currently studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. The musicians have an extensive performing experience in the UK and abroad. The combination of two different voice types, soprano and mezzo-soprano juxtaposed with piano, gives a rich range of concert repertoire to perform, including various arias and duets for singers and piano solo pieces. Although working collectively as an ensemble, each member is also represented as a soloist.
The trio’s first series of recitals in Summer 2016 included music related to the project “Trouser roles in opera”. Since then they have performed concerts "An Evening of French Music", "Tragic and Comic Musical Moments", "Easter Offerings". In Summer 2016 they performed at Exeter Cathedral. Stella Maris Trio was delighted to perform their first opera based on Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice" in July 2017. In Autumn 2017 Stella Maris Trio performed in the Oxford area and it ended in the glorious Blenheim Palace.
Furthermore, Stella Maris Trio can be booked to perform at weddings, conferences and any other private function or special event.
